Oink Oink Dinner @ Ribs at the Burgeon, Taman Mayang

"Little pig, little pig, let me come in..." (Three Little Pig Story)

Whoever drive pass Taman Mayang, I believe you wlll notice the somehow elegant fine dining restaurant facing the roadside called Ribs at the Burgeon. For me, it is quite strange for such a fine dining restaurant be opened at that area. Well, anything is possible nowadays. :)

The girls have been talking for months to dine at this restaurant. At last, we went there to celebrate someone getting her mid year bonus ;) Well, the first thing that caught our attention when we stepped into the restaurant was the whisky bar. Though I'm not someone who can drink very well, the bar just look nice with the atmosphere in the restaurant.

Back to the topic! Literally, this restaurant is famous for its ribs. The meal, therefore, wasn't complete without the porky dish. Just as other diners, we had had the culinary team to cook us the signature dish of the restaurant.

1. Pork Ribs

The pork ribs is cooked in two different flavor- Black Pepper and Sweet & Spicy. We had the Black Pepper flavor. The texture of the ribs was soft and tender as it was well-marinated with the sauce to enhance the authentic flavor of the dish. It comes with a small bowl of sauce for dipping, too.

2. Pork Belly

Whenever I am having a pork dish, pork belly is a must have dish. So, here we go! I would say, this is really a belly met, if you know what I mean. It had satisfied the tastsebuds of the ladies in overall except, like what I have said, it is a bit fatty and oily. This dish is recommended to order in small portion for testing and order extra if it doesn't satisfied your tastebuds with that few slices of meat. Else, you might get nauseate.

Wait, that's all?? Of course not! That's not the usual way we pampaering ourselves. :P

3. Side Dish: Mash potatoes & Pork Scratchings

We had get ourselves two small dish to complete the meal of the night.

Umm... we actually ordered two mash potatoes...^_^ It was so soft and with the mild sweetness, we raised our hand for the second bowl. :P

And this crispy pork skin! It was fried to perfect as you cna clearly hear the crunchy sound when you bike on it! :P

In term of food, service and environment, I would say the money you pay is worth for it! :) However, the restaurant is under some renovation now and the name might be changed, too. No worries, you still can find it because it is still under the Burgeon group. :)
